ADSC favorites #MaxRaabe and the #PalastOrchester are returning to San Francisco in just a few weeks! The debonair baritone and his 12-piece orchestra bring elegant dance music from Weimar era Berlin to Symphony Hall on March 12th. We’ll see you there! .
Repost from @sfjazz - Performing a selection of standards and obscurities that defined the popular music of the #1920s and #1930s , @maxraabeundpalastorchester bring the madcap fun and musical sophistication of Germany’s #Weimarera to life in grand style at Davies Symphony Hall on March 12. Tickets at sfjazz.org

Hard to capture the gorgeous #1930s #murals with a circus theme by Bay Area artist Esther Bruton in photos but was able to see them in person at the #cirqueroom @fairmontsanfrancisco last night at the @artdecoca event, #sambaathecirque. Thank you #timothypflueger for your beautiful #artdeco #architecture. The Cirque is a rare mostly extant fabulous cocktail bar that opened May 10, #1935 as the Circus Lounge and Snack Buffet in post- Prohibition San Francisco. Thanks to past ADSC preservation award winner the Fairmont for keeping it alive and well!
Another lovely photo from last Thursday’s “Samba at the Cirque” musical revue at the #CirqueRoom @fairmonthotels by ADSC President Heidi Schave
