Countess Mona Von Bismark - who in 1933, Coco Chanel named "The Best Dressed Woman in the World."

Lecture Presented by Nan Turner – Department of Textiles and Clothing, UC Davis

Mona, born Edmona Margaret Travis Strader in Louisville, Kentucky in 1897, known for her beauty and radiant light blue eyes, would marry her way up the ladder to become one of the wealthiest women in the world. Her mansion in Paris is now the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art and Culture in Paris, which supports artistic and cultural Franco-American relations.

Doors open at 7pm, lecture begins at 7:30pm
