Today’s studio tour at Neon Works was...a gas! 2012 #ArtDecoPreservation Award winner Jim Rizzo of Neon Works in Oakland has been rescuing and restoring Bay Area neon signs for decades and only opens his shop for tours once in a blue moon. 2016 Preservation Award winners and #neon historians Al Barna and Randall Ann Homan welcomed lucky participants with a brief talk about the history of #neonsigns and the growing movement to save them. The #artdecosocietyofcalifornia was a proud sponsor of the Neon Speaks Festival & Symposium events over the weekend. #preservation #historicneon #californianeon
